Lia Wong

Lia’s belief that kinesiology can help people live their best life is rooted in her own experiences as a former professional ballroom dancer and entrepreneur in New York City. After ten years of competitive dancing and sustaining several injuries, she successfully launched her own boutique digital agency, which came with its share of stresses. With relationship difficulties and heartbreak thrown into the mix, Lia found herself suffering from chronic pain, a weakened immune system, burnout and a broken heart…all of which eventually dissipated when kinesiology helped her uncover the stressors that impacted her ability to heal.

Inspired and grateful for this revelation, Lia dedicated herself to studying this healing modality and is now a registered kinesiologist with the Australian Kinesiology Association (AKA). She is also a birth doula in the process of being certified with DONA International, having already completed her preliminary training with CNN Hero of the Year midwife Ibu Robin Lim and childbirth educator Debra Pascali-Bonaro. Lia has found kinesiology to be highly effective in helping women prepare for a positive and gentle birth experience. In her practice, she is dedicated to helping her clients identify what is holding them back from living the life they want to live, gain clarity and move forward empowered in their choices.

Lia has a B.A. in Art History from Barnard College and a master’s degree in Food studies from New York University. In addition to being a kinesiologist and a doula, Lia is also a consultant for conscious brands. In her spare time, she enjoys ocean sports.
